Books

The books from Sacapuntas Publishing explore science, evidence and innovation. They make complex subjects accessible, examine findings and ideas critically, and offer practical guidance. Topics and formats vary, from analysis and explanation to guides and playbooks. The first title, From Evidence to Consumers, published in October 2026, examines how micronutrient science becomes supplement advice and what gets lost along the way. This page presents recent books from Sacapuntas Publishing. Earlier professional and academic work is not listed here.

About this books page

The books on this page follow the two questions this project is built on.

The first question: how does a finding travel from the laboratory into a product, a health claim, professional practice, or everyday use, and what gets lost, simplified, or overstated along the way?

The second question: where might new science and technology lead? Which developments amount to real innovation, which are still at an early stage, and what evidence, what regulation, and what practical experience would it take for their potential to become reality?

The first book, From Evidence to Consumers, published in October 2026, takes up the translation problem. How does a scientific result move from the laboratory to a finished product? What survives that journey intact, what quietly turns into more than the data supports, and how can you tell the difference?

Later books may turn to the second question and examine how early developments could change consumer health, without presenting possibility as prediction or early promise as established fact.

Over four decades I have written or contributed to a considerable number of books, book chapters, and scientific papers, most of them for a professional or academic readership. Some of that work now describes an evidence base or a regulatory environment that no longer exists.

This page is not a publication list. It carries only the more recent books written for a general readership.
